The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Speed Increaser
# Speed Increaser
Speed Increaser is a lightweight and powerful Chrome extension that gives you complete control over video playback speed. Adjust speed with precision, jump to presets, or use intuitive keyboard shortcuts for on-the-fly changes on any website with HTML5 video.
## Features
- Universal Compatibility: Works on any website using standard HTML5 `<video>` elements.
- On-Screen Feedback: Get instant visual confirmation of speed changes directly on the active video player when using keyboard shortcuts.
- Intuitive Popup UI: A clean, dark-mode interface for adjusting speed with fine-grained controls or jumping to common presets.
- Powerful Keyboard Shortcuts: Control playback speed without ever taking your hands off the keyboard.
- Persistent Speed: Your chosen speed is saved and automatically applied across browser sessions and to new videos you play.
## How to Use
There are two ways to control video playback speed with this extension: the popup UI and keyboard shortcuts.
### 1. Using the Popup
Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the control panel.
- Fine-grained Control: Use the `+` and `−` buttons to increase or decrease the playback speed in 0.25x increments.
- Quick Speeds: Click any of the preset buttons (e.g., `1.5x`, `2.0x`, `3.0x`) to instantly set the speed.
### 2. Keyboard Shortcuts
Use shortcuts directly on the page while a video is playing. An overlay will appear on the video to confirm the change.
