The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About SottMeet: Real-time Voice Translation for Google Meet & Teams
SottMeet translates your Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls both ways, out loud, as you talk. Live subtitles for both sides. Only you install it.
5 free minutes, no card needed. Add a card — up to 30 free minutes in total, no charge.
■ How it works
1. Add SottMeet to Chrome — One click from the Chrome Web Store. Sign in with your Google account. No mic or speaker settings.
2. Open your Google Meet or Teams call — Click the SottMeet icon. Pick your language and the language of the meeting. On Teams, join in Chrome and click Allow on Teams once.
3. Press Enable and talk — They hear your words in their language about a second later. You hear them in yours. Subtitles appear for both.
■ Why SottMeet
• Voice and subtitles, both ways: The other person hears a translated voice, not just captions. You hear their reply in your language.
• Only you install it: Guests join Google Meet or Teams as usual, even from the Teams app. No extension, no account, no setup on their side.
• Any pair of 19 languages: Chinese ↔ Thai, Japanese ↔ Spanish, Korean ↔ Vietnamese. Not just to and from English.
• Works with any Google account: Free Gmail is fine. No Workspace plan or AI subscription needed.
■ Languages
Speak and be heard in 19 languages
When others talk, SottMeet detects their language automatically and understands 70+ languages. The 19 below are the languages it can speak.
中文 · English · 日本語 · 한국어 · ไทย · Tiếng Việt · Bahasa Indonesia · Bahasa Melayu · Filipino · हिन्दी · Español · Português · Français · Deutsch · Italiano · Català · Русский · العربية · עברית
■ Pricing
• Free trial: 5 min — Try it right away. No card needed.
• Add a card: Up to 30 min — Up to 30 free minutes in total. Adding a card does not charge you.
• Top up: US$10 ≈ 65 min · US$30 ≈ 205 min (+5%) · US$50 ≈ 390 min (+20%)
• No subscription. No meeting, no cost.
• Optional auto top-up keeps long meetings going. Payments by Stripe — we never see your card number.
■ Questions
• Can Google Meet translate voice for free?
No. Meet's speech translation needs Google AI Pro or Ultra, or Workspace Business Standard and above. Translated captions also need a paid Workspace plan. SottMeet works on free Gmail accounts.
• What's the difference between translated captions and voice translation?
Captions are text you read under the video. Voice translation means the other person hears what you said, spoken in their language, so they can keep looking at you instead of reading.
■ Private by design
• Audio is translated live and then discarded. We never record your meetings.
• Subtitles stay in your browser, not on our servers.
• We store only your account email and minute balance.
