The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Snap & Annotate — Screenshot & Recorder
Snap & Annotate turns a screenshot or a quick screen recording into a
clear, shareable explanation, right in your browser. No account, no upload,
nothing leaves your computer.
NEW IN 2.2.0
• Annotate your own images - open, paste or drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF
• Select area scrolls: capture more than fits on screen, with its own
shortcut (Alt+Shift+A)/(Option+Shift+A) and the timer
• Filled shapes - solid to cover something, or semi-transparent
• Split a combined image back into separate shots
• Exact sizes - every slider shows its value, and you can type one
CAPTURE
• Visible area - exactly what's on screen
• Full page - scroll-and-stitch the whole page into one image, with sticky
headers and cookie bars shown once instead of repeating
• Select area - drag over just the part you need, even past the bottom of
the screen (it scrolls and stitches); shortcut Alt+Shift+A/(Option+Shift+A)
• Timer (3s / 5s) to catch menus, dropdowns and tooltips that close on click
• Queue up to 10 screenshots and edit them together
ANNOTATE
• Arrows, rectangles, ellipses, lines and freehand pen — shapes can be
outlined, solid (to cover something completely) or semi-transparent
• Numbered steps for walkthroughs
• Callouts and text labels
• Highlighter and Spotlight to draw attention
• Blur to hide anything private — or let it find emails, phone numbers and
card numbers for you
• Crop to just the part that matters
• Frame: gradient background, padding, rounded corners, shadow and a
browser-window bar for polished shots
• Bring your own image: open, paste (Ctrl/⌘+V) or drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or
GIF and annotate it like any screenshot
• Exact sizes: every slider shows its value in px or %, and you can type it
RECORD YOUR SCREEN (Chrome & Edge)
• Record your entire screen, a window, or just this tab
• Webcam bubble that floats over everything you record — or keep your screen
clear and add your camera to the corner of the video
• Microphone, 720p or 1080p, MP4 or WebM
• Countdown, pause/resume, and the recording time on the toolbar icon
• Preview when you stop: trim the start and end, zoom in on your clicks
("This tab"), then save or discard
SHARE
• Copy to the clipboard or download as PNG
• Download all your shots at once as a ZIP
• Combine several shots into one tall or wide image — and split a combined
image back into its shots later
• Keyboard shortcuts for everything (press ? in the editor)
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything happens on your device. Your camera, microphone and screen are
used only while you record, and recordings never leave your computer.
