Skipper

Skipper turns your phone into the remote for the video playing in this browser. Skip the intro, jump back 10 seconds, pause, scrub to any point or go fullscreen, from the sofa, without touching the laptop. It works with YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Twitch and any site that plays video in a normal HTML video player. Commands go to the tab that is playing a video, or to the active tab. How it works 1. Install the Skipper app on your phone (Android, or iPhone through AltStore): https://sandoramix.github.io/slop-remote-relay/ 2. Click the Skipper icon, enter the address of your relay server and keep the pairing code it generates. 3. Scan the QR code with your phone. Done. A browser can only be reached over the internet, so commands travel through a relay server you run yourself (one Docker command) or an MQTT broker. Every command is signed with a key derived from your pairing code: the server can pass messages along but cannot forge or replay them. Skipper has no accounts, no analytics and no ads.
