About Simple AI-Chat export for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini
Security-first, simple and minimal extension to save a conversation from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini as Markdown or plain text.
Open the chat you want to keep, click the extension, choose a format and export. The same simple interface works on all three apps. Downloads is the default destination; the native folder picker lets you choose another folder.
Your copy includes the displayed messages, speaker labels, readable formatting, code blocks, tables and available source links. A metadata header records the conversation title, original URL, export date, provider, message count and any marked omissions.
Completed ChatGPT Deep Research reports in the supported embedded layout include their Markdown and citation links. When needed, Chrome asks for optional access to that report's embedded site.
Processing stays on your device. There is no analytics, developer backend, account registration, subscription or conversation upload. The exporter does not access authentication tokens or make conversation API requests.
Scope and limits:
- One currently displayed conversation at a time, including ChatGPT guest chats.
- Rendered messages are checked for stability, but server-side history completeness cannot be verified.
- Images, audio, video and attachment files are not downloaded. Known omissions are marked.
- Claude artifacts, Gemini Canvas and other content outside displayed messages are not archived. Gemini Deep Research is not supported.
- Desktop Chrome on macOS has been tested. Windows and Linux are not independently verified yet.
- Keep the export window open until saving finishes. A cancelled or interrupted export is not reported as saved.

Entirely optional. All export features work without it.
What's new in 1.0.3 (13 October 2026)
- Claude: exports work again on Claude's current transcript layout, which keeps only the messages near your viewport on the page. Exports had been stopping with "We
couldn't verify the rendered conversation".
- Claude: your messages now use the page's turn key as their ID, like replies.
What's new in 1.0.2 (13 October 2026)
- Gemini: Maps place chips and place cards are now kept instead of dropped. Place names export inline with a Google Maps link; cards keep their rating and opening hours.
- Gemini: Maps places are listed under each reply's Sources.
- Gemini: screen-reader-only text such as "Click to open side panel" is left out.
- Version numbering moved to 1.x (0.2.1 is 1.0.0, 0.2.2 is 1.0.1).
