The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About SidePlay - Spatial Audio Controller
SidePlay lets you choose which ear plays a tab's audio: left, right, or both.
Click the SidePlay icon in the toolbar and pick one option:
• Stereo: both ears (default)
• Left only: the left channel plays in your left ear
• Right only: the right channel plays in your right ear
Typical use: set one tab to Left only and another tab to Right only, then play both. You hear each tab in a different ear, for example a lecture in one ear and music in the other.
Private by design
SidePlay changes the audio routing inside the page with the Web Audio API. Everything runs locally in your browser. SidePlay does not collect, store, or send any personal data.
Good to know
• The setting applies to the current tab. The audio returns to Stereo when the page reloads.
• Tabs that were already open when you installed SidePlay need one reload.
• Chrome pages (chrome://) and the Chrome Web Store cannot be controlled.
