About SidePhone — Mobile Sidebar Browser
Your web, on the side.
SidePhone opens websites in Chrome's sidebar so you can keep your current tab in view. Search, translate selected text, revisit favorite sites, and save links with notes in one small workspace.
FEATURES
• Your own home screen: Google, Instagram, and YouTube shortcuts, plus any sites you add.
• Choose your start page: SidePhone home, a specific site, or your last visited page.
• Search or navigate: enter a web address or search with Google, Naver, or DuckDuckGo.
• Right-click actions: open links or the current page, search selected text, and open Google Translate.
• Bookmarks: edit names and addresses, reorder, search, and undo deletions.
• Link library: save links with notes, then search and edit them later.
• Per-site preferences: mobile or default view, sidebar or popup, and remembered popup sizes.
• PDF viewing through Chrome's built-in PDF viewer.
• Light and dark themes, plus keyboard shortcuts.
• English and Korean interface. Korean Chrome uses Korean; other supported environments fall back to English.
GOOD TO KNOW
Some websites restrict embedding or sign-in inside a sidebar. Open them in a popup or new tab, or save an always-use-popup preference. Compatibility with every website is not guaranteed.
Mobile view does not fully emulate a phone or touch input. SidePhone remembers addresses, but does not restore form input, scroll position, or video playback state. Requires Chrome 116 or later; some mobile-view and compatibility improvements require Chrome 145 or later.
SidePhone is free. Optional support is available via PayPal (opens in a new tab). All features remain free, whether or not you contribute.
PRIVACY
Bookmarks, settings, last-visited addresses, and links and notes you create are stored locally in your browser. The extension has no developer-server data collection, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.
Searches and selected text for translation are sent to the service you choose. Bookmark icons use Google's favicon service, which receives the site's hostname. SidePhone may make an additional request to the address you open to check its document type. External websites and support services follow their own policies.
