About ShelfSignal — Retail Profit Capture

ShelfSignal Capture turns a retailer product page into a reviewed sourcing draft you can use before spending money. Data used for capture: When you choose Read page and create draft, ShelfSignal reads that tab’s product title, current and regular prices and currency, barcode and item numbers, brand, model, SKU, product image, sale or clearance label, availability or selected-store label, page address, and short source notes used to explain the draft. It uses those details to create the editable sourcing draft and provide product matching, profit analysis, private capture history, and a store-verification request when you choose one. The draft stays in the extension until you review it and choose to open ShelfSignal. A selected-store or area label is text supplied by the product page. The extension does not request device location or GPS coordinates. It removes page fragments and query parameters whose names or values indicate advertising, sign-in, session, personal, precise-location, redirect, or credential data before handoff. If a site does not expose trustworthy product fields, Enter this item manually creates a blank human-entry draft tied to the current public product page. That path uses the cleaned page address and only the product details you type. Open calculator only opens the public ShelfSignal calculator without reading the page. After you click the extension: 1. ShelfSignal brings the disclosed product details and prices into one editable review. 2. It separates current and comparison prices, surfaces credible product-area clearance or sale labels, and filters common financing and unit-price traps. 3. When several prices remain plausible, it shows the choices so you can select the exact current one-time price. 4. It shows the detected product identity, price, availability or selected-store text, source page, review warnings, and the page evidence used for each suggestion. 5. When the page supplies a valid barcode, one click opens an Amazon search for those exact digits so you can inspect possible listings yourself. 6. It previews markdown, estimated profit, ROI, maximum buy price, planned units, total estimated profit, investment, margin, and break-even after you enter current Amazon values and your buy rules. 7. You correct or clear anything uncertain, affirm that you compared every shown field with the page, and choose whether to open the reviewed draft in ShelfSignal. 8. With a valid reviewed barcode, an eligible member can choose Request this item at another store. ShelfSignal privately saves the capture, then asks the member to name one public store for a time-limited mission. An eligible shopper can submit a fresh product photo, exact barcode, shelf price, stock count, and current store-location evidence for moderation. Fulfillment is not guaranteed. The calculator can be used without a paid ShelfSignal plan. Signing in is required to save a private capture. Nearby member signals and remote store missions require an eligible active membership. Scout uses manually entered Amazon values. Pro and Power require an eligible connected Amazon Professional seller account for included automated catalog and fee lookups. Sign-in, membership management, and checkout happen on ShelfSignal’s website. The extension does not receive passwords, Amazon authorization tokens, card numbers, bank details, or Stripe payment information. For faster repeat checks, you can choose to remember calculator assumptions such as fees, reserve, targets, budget, and quantity in the extension’s local browser storage. You can turn this option off at any time. Remembered values are sent to ShelfSignal only when you deliberately continue with a reviewed capture. The quick preview is an estimate, not a buy recommendation. Website availability is not proof of physical shelf stock. Verify the exact item, current price, route, seller eligibility, demand, fees, restrictions, and inventory before traveling or buying. ShelfSignal is independent and is not sponsored or endorsed by any listed retailer or by Amazon. Estimates are not guaranteed profit or inventory and are not legal, tax, or financial advice.
