About Sentinel: Security HUD for Notion
It is easy to forget that a Notion page is published to the web. Sentinel keeps that fact in front of you while you are working, instead of leaving it two clicks away in the share menu.
HOW IT WORKS
While you are on a Notion page, Sentinel watches for the indicators Notion itself shows when a page is shared to the web. When it finds one, it puts a banner at the top of the page, draws a red border around the edge of the window, and marks the extension icon. When you move to a private page, the warning clears on its own.
That is the whole free feature, and it runs continuously without you asking.
PRO FEATURES
• Flag sensitive words appearing on a public page — terms like "salary", "confidential", "internal" or "credentials", using a built-in list you can edit
• Run an on-demand review of the open page that reports whether it is public, which flagged words appear, how many external links it contains, and how much embedded content it loads, summarised as a single risk rating
• Save that review as a PNG for a ticket or a handover note
Pro is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no expiry, and it works on up to three devices.
WHAT SENTINEL DOES NOT DO
Sentinel reads what is on the page in front of you. It does not change your sharing settings, read your workspace permissions, or scan pages you have not opened. It is a reminder, not a safeguard — always confirm sensitive pages in Notion's own share settings.
PRIVACY
Everything happens in your browser. Page content is examined locally and is never transmitted; we operate no server that receives it.
Sentinel is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc.
