About SecureGrid
Keep names, IBANs and passwords out of your AI prompts.
SecureGrid puts a small Redact button above the prompt field in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot. One click, and names, email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs, API keys and other personal or confidential details turn into placeholders like [PERSON_1] or [IBAN_1] — before anything is sent. The AI gets the question, not the data.
HOW IT WORKS
• Write your prompt as usual.
• Press Redact (or Alt+Shift+R). The prompt is replaced with its safe version, placeholders tinted by type.
• Open the list beside the button to see which value became which placeholder, copy the original, or undo.
• Send. Only the placeholders leave your computer.
LOCAL BY DESIGN
The extension does no detection of its own. It hands the prompt to the SecureGrid desktop app running on the same computer, which finds personal data with on-device rules and models. Nothing goes to a server — not to LumeSec, not to anyone. The extension talks to exactly one address: the SecureGrid app on 127.0.0.1.
• No account data, prompts or placeholders are collected.
• No analytics, no tracking.
• Originals are kept in the browser's memory only and are gone when the tab closes.
• The desktop app only answers this extension, and only after you have connected it with one click.
