Search on Youtube

When you search for videos on YouTube, the platform not only lists results but also uses your queries to refine its recommendation algorithm. The native search bar provides autocomplete suggestions designed to keep you engaged, subtly influencing your choices. Additionally, YouTube may track your search queries to personalize recommendations in your feed. This extension allows you to search for YouTube videos without using the native search bar. Instead, it generates a direct URL with your search query, taking you straight to the results page. How it’s different from YouTube’s search bar: - No Autocomplete Distractions – Only see results for exactly what you search, without algorithm-driven suggestions. - Less Data Tracking – If YouTube collects data from its search box, using this extension may prevent your queries from influencing future recommendations. If you want to reduce algorithmic influence and use YouTube more intentionally—focusing only on the videos you actively search for—this extension is a useful tool.
