About Search Engine Switch
# Search Engine Switch
**Switch between 12 categories of search engines with minimal effort.**
One search term, zero retyping — jump from any engine to any other engine in any category in the fewest clicks.
## Features
- **102 built-in search engines across 12 categories** — web, translation, knowledge, images, video, music, academic, social, shopping, downloads, news, and code.
- **Five ways to search:**
- **Address bar** — type `ss` + keywords in the address bar, pick an engine from the suggestions, and jump straight to the results.
- **Selection search** — select any text, right-click, and choose an engine for your selection from the context menu.
- **Image search** — right-click an image and reverse-image search it with Google Lens, Yandex, or Baidu.
- **Popup panel** — click the toolbar icon to open the popup panel, pick a category tab, then an engine.
- **Floating menu on result pages** — a draggable floating menu that carries your current query, so switching engines is a single click with no retyping.
- **Per-engine open mode** — open results in a new tab or the current tab, configured per engine.
- **Custom engines** — add your own search engines in the settings page.
- **Bilingual UI** — English and 简体中文, follows your browser language or set it manually; settings sync across devices.
