Sealiously, Take a Break

Sealiously, Take a Break is the gentle reminder to breathe, blink, and stretch — delivered by a very cute seal. Set the interval you want (default: every 30 minutes). When the timer fires, a fullscreen seal floats onto your current tab, plays for 10 seconds, and then quietly disappears. No buzzing, no banner across the top of your screen, no nagging — just one mini moment of softness in the middle of your scroll-and-type marathon. WHY THIS EXISTS • Staring at a screen for hours strains your eyes and tightens your neck. • Most break reminders feel like productivity software yelling at you. • A baby seal does not yell. A baby seal floats by. FEATURES • Pick your interval in minutes (1–600). • Optional honking seal sound — toggle on or off. • Click the seal or press Escape to dismiss it immediately. • Dark mode for the settings popup. • Works on every regular http(s) website. • Lightweight, no frameworks, no analytics. PRIVACY FIRST • 100% local. Your settings live in your browser; nothing is ever sent anywhere. • No accounts, no analytics, no remote requests. • No tracking, no ads — ever. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH • alarms — to fire the reminder on your chosen interval. • storage — to remember your interval and preferences. • tabs / scripting — to display the seal on the tab you're currently looking at, including tabs that were already open before you installed. • host permissions on all sites — the seal needs to be able to appear on whichever site you happen to be on when a break is due. The extension does not work on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, or PDF viewers — Chrome blocks all extensions from those by design. Take care of yourself. Sealiously.
