The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Screenshot Annotation
Screenshot Annotation captures a screenshot and lets you annotate it **right on the page** — with one twist: hover any element and the annotation snaps to its real bounds. No more hand-drawing rectangles that are a few pixels off.
**What makes it different**
Other tools make you draw shapes by hand. This one reads each element's real geometry and produces a clean, pixel-perfect annotation in a single click. Hover → the element highlights → click → done.
**12 annotation tools**
- Rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow (auto-straightens to horizontal/vertical)
- Highlighter, text, numbered steps, stamps
- Mosaic — pixelate, blur, or black-bar to redact sensitive info
- Zoom-in-place — auto-trims empty margins and magnifies the detail
**Three-step workflow**
1. Capture — Alt+A (visible area), Alt+C (drag a region), or right-click. On Mac: ⌘⇧S / ⌘⇧X.
2. Annotate — hover an element and click to snap a fitted shape, or draw freely on empty space.
3. Export — close the editor; the result is already on your clipboard. Or download PNG / JPG / PDF.
**Private by design — zero network requests**
No backend, no account, no analytics. Screenshots never leave your computer. Open DevTools during a capture and you'll see the extension makes 0 requests. Everything runs locally.

- Works in Edge, Brave, Arc — any Chromium browser
