About Scholar H-Index Calculator for Google Chrome™

Scholar H-Index Calculator is a bibliometric and citation analysis tool which works as an add-on for Google Chrome, putting additional insights on top of Google Scholar pages. USAGE: Just visit scholar.google.com and make queries. Enhanced information will pop up within the usual Google Scholar result pages. FEATURES: - Computes the most common bibliometric indices over Google Scholar pages on-the-fly - Lets you program your own custom bibliometric formulas - Can automatically clean self- and ghost citations away from computed indices - Can complete author lists when Google Scholar truncates to the first 4 authors, by looking up the paper's original source page - Can cluster papers based on possible author homonymy - Right-click any selected text to search it on Google Scholar - No account, no sign-up, no ads PERMISSIONS: the calculator works entirely within your browser. To complete author lists and other bibliographic details that Google Scholar itself truncates, the optional "refine" features fetch the original page of a paper from its publisher (e.g. arxiv.org, ACM, IEEE, Springer...). This is why the extension requests permission to read other websites - it is only used to look up the paper you are already viewing, on demand. The extension does not access, read or store your browsing history, and does not use any website access beyond what you explicitly ask it to refine. We collect no personal data and do not track your activity: nothing is sent to our servers, because the extension does not have any - see the Privacy Policy for details.
