Save to Feeds

Save to Feeds is a button for the Feeds reader on your Mac. Click it on any page and choose one of two things: • Save this article — keeps a readable copy in Feeds, so you can read it later, offline, without the ads and the pop-ups. • Subscribe to this site — finds the site's feed and adds it to Feeds. Nothing is sent anywhere. The button hands the address of the tab you are on to the Feeds app running on your own Mac, and the app does the rest — exactly as if you had pasted that address into it yourself. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Nothing about your browsing leaves your computer. The button can see the address of the tab you press it on, and nothing else. It cannot read the page, it cannot see your other tabs, and it cannot see your history. That is the whole extent of it. The first time you use it, Chrome will ask whether to let the page open Feeds. That prompt is Chrome's own, and it appears for any application a web page hands work to. Tick "Always allow" and you will not see it again. REQUIRES THE FEEDS APP This button does nothing on its own. It needs Feeds, a one-time-purchase RSS reader for macOS, installed on the same Mac. Without the app, clicking the button will do nothing.
