About Save Image as Type

Save Image as Type lets you right-click any image on the web and save it as PNG, JPG, or WebP — one click, one format choice, done. WHAT IT DOES • Adds a "Save Image As..." item to your browser's right-click menu on any image • Choose your output format: PNG, JPG, or WebP • Automatic white background fill when converting to JPG (no black artifacts from transparent sources) • Uses your browser's native download dialog — you pick where files go WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • Runs 100% locally. Images never leave your computer — no server, no upload, no tracking. • Zero data collection. We don't see what you save. • Only two permissions: context menu and downloads. Nothing else. • Tiny footprint (~20 KB). Fast. HOW TO USE 1. Right-click any image on a webpage 2. Hover "Save Image As..." 3. Pick PNG, JPG, or WebP 4. Save it wherever you want
