The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About salamander
salamander lets you capture design feedback on any website: screenshot areas, mark up what's wrong, and write notes. export your feedback as a file and share it with a colleague or an ai coding agent.
each note stores the screenshot along with the element data: its css selector, xpath, and the surrounding markup. everything an ai agent needs to find it in the code.
how it works:
1. launch salamander on any website.
2. click "add note", then click or drag to select an area.
3. mark up the area with the pencil.
4. write your note and save. the screenshot and the element data are captured together.
5. add as many notes as you want, then export them in one click. send the zip to a colleague, or drop it into claude, cursor or chatgpt.
works everywhere: static sites, server-rendered pages, and single-page apps (spas).
PRIVACY NOTE: everything stays on your machine. no accounts, no servers, no network requests. nothing leaves your computer unless you export a file.
