The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About RoleHarbour · NZ Job Companion
RoleHarbour reads job ads on SEEK New Zealand for you, on your own device. Open a job and a panel above the description sets out what the ad asks for, what it says about visas and whether the employer is on New Zealand's accredited employer list. Every result keeps the sentence it was read from, so you can check it against the ad.
WHAT THE PANEL SHOWS
• Preparation checklist: the programming languages, tools and platforms, knowledge areas, spoken languages, qualifications and personal qualities the ad asks for, split into must-haves and nice-to-haves, plus application materials to prepare, such as a cover letter.
• Visa wording: whether the ad mentions visa sponsorship, asks for existing work rights or is limited to citizens and residents. Hover over or click a verdict to see the sentence it came from.
• Accredited employer check: the employer is checked against a dated snapshot of New Zealand's accredited employer list. Job cards in search results get a compact badge too.
• Experience: the years the ad states or, when it states none, a clearly labelled local estimate.
• Occupation reference: an ANZSCO occupation, shown only when the job title itself names one.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Every result is worked out inside the extension. No job text, search or company name is sent anywhere.
• No account, sign-in or API key.
• Results are kept in memory for the job you are viewing. Nothing about a job is saved.
• The only network request downloads the public accredited employer list, checked weekly. Settings lets you update it, or export and import it as a backup.
LANGUAGES
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Quotes from the ad stay in the ad's language.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Works on nz.seek.com and www.seek.co.nz. Requires Chrome 116 or later.
• Readings describe the advertisement only and do not determine your personal immigration eligibility. A dated employer-list match does not confirm current accreditation or sponsorship for a particular job, and a missing match does not prove an employer is unaccredited.
• Local reading uses vocabulary and wording rules and can miss or misread content. Check the ad itself before you rely on a result.
• RoleHarbour is independent and is not affiliated with SEEK or Immigration New Zealand.
WHAT'S NEW IN 0.22.1
• A new icon featuring Haru, RoleHarbour's mascot.
• Visa verdict pills keep their border, and the "Try again" button shows in link colour.
Since 0.22.0, all analysis runs on your device. The optional AI analysis and the saved-job archive have been removed; upgrading from an earlier version deletes saved jobs and any stored API key. The employer list and language setting are kept.
