Rewindy — The Instant Replay Screen Recorder

Ever wish you could rewind time — at least on your screen? With Rewindy, you can use instant replay to capture moments *after* they happen and save only what matters. 🎯 Keep Rewindy on — and never miss a recording of what just happened. ⏪ ✨ How It Works in 3 Simple Steps 1. Activate: Start Rewindy with one click or press Space. It runs quietly as a background screen recorder. 2. Do Your Thing: Browse, work, or test as usual — Rewindy keeps a rolling buffer of your past screen activity. 3. Capture the Past: When something important happens, press Space (or click) to instantly save the last seconds or minutes as a game clip or bug report. Rewindy is a fast, lightweight chrome screen recorder with an instant replay buffer. As a fully offline recorder, everything stays on your device. 🔒 It's completely free — no ads, no watermarks, and no trials. 🎯 Why Rewindy? Traditional screen recorders make you hit record before the action — and leave you sorting through long videos later. Rewindy flips the script. It uses a shadow recording technique, continuously buffering your screen so you can save the perfect screen capture after the moment passes. No bloat, no tedious editing. 🔧 Features - 🖥️ Full-Featured Screen Capture: Record a tab, app window, or your entire screen. - 🔊 Record with Audio: Capture system sound and microphone audio when available. - 💸 100% Free Screen Recorder: No ads, no watermarks, no subscriptions. - ⏪ Instant Replay: Save only the last few moments of activity (default: last 10 minutes). - 🔁 Loop Recording: Continuously buffers your screen so you can save the last N seconds or minutes on demand. - ⚙️ Adjustable Buffer: Choose clip length (10s–30m) and how many clips to keep (2–10). - ⌨️ One‑Click Controls: Use the Space shortcut for quick start/stop. - 💾 Save Locally: Downloads clips as WebM (VP9/Opus); get a single clip or all at once. - ⚡️ Lightweight & Efficient: Runs smoothly during long sessions with a clean, responsive UI. ✨ Perfect for QA testing, bug reporting, creating demos and tutorials, capturing gameplay moments, and more. 🔒 Privacy-Focused - Rewindy does not collect or transmit any data.
