Revisar.ia is a browser extension designed to help you review texts directly inside generative AI platforms. It works on the main compatible generative AI platforms (Chatgpt, Gemini, Claude, the complete list is in the image). Its purpose is simple: to support text revision while keeping human judgment at the center of the writing process. Revisar.ia does not replace the author. It helps the author revise better. The extension uses artificial intelligence as a revision partner. It can suggest improvements in clarity, fluency, grammar, tone, precision, and contextual adequacy. However, the final version is not applied automatically or irreversibly. You remain in control of the text. With Revisar.ia, you can compare the original text with the revised version before applying any change. The differences are shown visually, with green and red markings. This makes it easier to see what was added, removed, or rewritten. You decide what should remain, what should change, and which wording best represents your intention. This approach preserves human supervision in the writing process. AI does not take full authorship of the text. It works as a support tool, a revision assistant, and a writing interlocutor. The final decision remains human. Revisar.ia was created to improve text quality without removing the author’s responsibility. The user writes, the AI suggests, the user evaluates, and the final text results from this supervised interaction. For this reason, Revisar.ia does not encourage full delegation of writing to artificial intelligence. It supports a critical, transparent, and controlled use of generative AI. HOW IT WORKS Revisar.ia uses the current session of the AI platform opened in your browser. You do not need to configure an API key, create an additional account, or use an external Revisar.ia server. The revision takes place inside the AI environment you already use. You can review text typed in the message field or a selected passage on the page. Then you choose the final language, select a review mode, and send the request to the AI. The result returns with a summary and a visual comparison between the original and revised text. You can accept or reject suggestions one by one, by selected passage, or in bulk. You can also edit the final text before applying it. Revisar.ia is useful for people who write frequently and need more control over text revision. It can support students, teachers, researchers, professionals, writers, managers, technical staff, and anyone who works with texts in different contexts. REVIEW MODES Clarity and fluency: Improves readability, cohesion, flow of ideas, and naturalness. It preserves the original meaning. Grammar only: Corrects spelling, accents, punctuation, agreement, and grammar errors. It changes the writing style as little as possible. Professional: Adapts the text for workplace communication, reports, proposals, emails, and institutional messages. Academic: Makes the text more formal, precise, and cohesive. It is suitable for articles, chapters, projects, theses, dissertations, and scientific abstracts. Custom: Allows you to write your own prompt to guide the revision. You can define tone, target audience, length, vocabulary, formality, or specific editorial criteria. LANGUAGES The main interface is prepared for Brazilian Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The AI offers alternatives. The user evaluates them. The final text depends on human decision. This process helps preserve human authorship. The user remains responsible for the content, meaning, tone, and final version. Artificial intelligence supports the writing process, but it does not replace the author. Revisar.ia enables a supervised collaboration with AI. You can work in partnership with artificial intelligence while maintaining control over the text. PRIVACY Revisar.ia does not collect data for the developer. The extension does not use its own server, analytics, ads, data selling, or identifier collection. The text selected by the user is processed only inside the open AI chat, using the user’s own current session. Preferences such as language, review mode, custom prompt, and comparison font size are stored locally in the browser through chrome.storage.local.
