About Review Check
Is that review real? Spot fake and paid-for Amazon reviews before you buy.
Review Check reads the reviews on an Amazon product page and tells you whether they look genuine or bought – and what buyers really praise and complain about.
WHAT YOU GET
• An authenticity score from 0 to 100, with the reasons behind it
• A badge under every review: ✓ Looks genuine, Unclear or ⚠ Suspicious – hover over it to see why
• What buyers praise and complain about, with the sentences from the reviews that say it
• Warning signs: few verified purchases, near-identical texts, review bursts, rewards from the seller, ad-like or over-enthusiastic wording
• Reviews from testers who got the product for free (e.g. Amazon Vine) shown separately
• Hints for reviews written in AI style (e.g. ChatGPT)
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open an Amazon product page. The check starts on its own (or switch that off in the popup and click "Check reviews").
2. Read the score and the reasons in the panel, and the badge under each review.
3. Want a more accurate result? Open all reviews and page through them – every page adds to the check.
WORKS WHERE YOU SHOP
24 Amazon stores, including Amazon.com, .co.uk, .ca, .com.au, .in, .ie, .de, .fr, .it, .es and .co.jp. Available in 13 languages, and reviews in any language can be checked.
FREE AND PRIVATE
• 10 product checks per day for free – no account, no tracking, no ads
• Runs only on Amazon pages
• Only the reviews on the open page are sent for checking. The AI model Jev (TypeSafe) checks them; they are not stored. Results stay in your browser for one week.
Review Check gives an estimate based on patterns, not proof.
