The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Return: Focus & Website Blocker
Return blocks distracting websites on a schedule you choose, helping you cut down on mindless browsing during work or study.
Need to open a website? Pause for two seconds and make three deliberate taps, then allow access for the time you set. When access ends, blocking resumes if your rule is still active.
Free to use. No subscriptions, in-app purchases, trial period, or account required. Your rules and review records stay in the current Chrome profile.
CHOOSE YOUR WEBSITES AND HOURS
Add several websites to one rule and give them the same days, time windows, and access duration. Include subdomains when you want to. Edit, disable, or remove your rules whenever you need.
ALLOW ACCESS WHEN YOU NEED IT
You can always go back at the pause, or complete it to allow timed access. Set a default of 1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes in Settings, or choose a different duration for a particular rule. The pause shows the duration that will apply.
END ACCESS FROM THE TOOLBAR
Open Return in the Chrome toolbar to see the time remaining and end access early. When access ends, blocking resumes while a rule is active. Opening the website again starts the full pause.
REVIEW YOUR CHOICES
View blocked and allowed outcomes by calendar week, month, or year, with details by website. Your choices are recorded, not scored. The allowed duration is the time you requested, not a measurement of how long you browsed.
KEEP YOUR RECORDS LOCAL
Rules and review records are not uploaded or synced between devices. Return does not read page content or store URL paths, search terms, or form contents. Review records remain until you clear them, and the privacy policy is available inside the extension.
Website access is requested only for the websites you choose when saving a rule. Chrome's most-visited websites and saved website icons are separate optional features; you can leave them off and still use your rules.
For desktop Chrome. Supports English and Simplified Chinese, with Light, Dark, and System appearance options. Incognito mode is not supported.
Return adds a reversible pause. You stay in control of your rules and can go back or allow timed access.
Stops the scroll, not the search.
WHAT'S NEW IN 1.0.2
- Improves the handoff when timed access ends, so opening a website again starts with a fresh pause.
- Improves review record consistency during repeated actions and background recovery, and clearly indicates incomplete records.
- Improves pause recovery after the system clock moves backward.
