About Remotion Canvas Capture
Record crisp product demos and website walkthroughs with Remotion Canvas Capture.
Choose an area or capture the full browser viewport, adjust the output resolution, and export a high-resolution MP4 or WebM. Capture at a higher resolution than your display, with cursor movements and clicks saved as metadata for editing in Remotion Studio.
Features
• Select and resize a capture area, or record the entire viewport.
• Adjust capture resolution and scale.
• Export H.264 MP4 or VP9 WebM using the formats your browser supports.
• Download your recording or open it in Remotion's web tools.
• Record and encode locally in your browser.
Browser requirements
This experimental extension requires Chrome 157.0.8080.0 or newer. While Chrome Stable is below this version, use Chrome Dev or Canary. Enable Canvas Draw Element at chrome://flags/#canvas-draw-element, then restart Chrome. The extension checks the required browser APIs and video encoding support before recording.
The extension captures webpage content, not Chrome's own interface. Chrome internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be recorded. Some cross-origin content and pages with certain layout rules may not be captured correctly.
