The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Regex Search

Regex Search brings regular-expression search to the page you are already viewing. Use it when browser Ctrl+F is not enough: find error codes in a log viewer, locate UUIDs in an API response, scan documentation for deprecated names, or check a page for matching values. Enter a JavaScript-compatible regular expression and Regex Search highlights every match on the current page instantly. What it does • Searches the current webpage with regular expressions. • Highlights every match as you type. • Moves through matches with Previous and Next controls. • Shows the current match and total result count. • Clears all highlights in one click or with Escape. • Opens quickly with Ctrl+Shift+F on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+F on macOS. Built for developers Try patterns such as: • \b[0-9a-f]{8}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{12}\b to find UUIDs. • \b(?:error|warn|exception)\b to scan a log page. • TODO|FIXME to review documentation or source-code pages. • \bHTTP\s+[45]\d\d\b to find client and server HTTP errors. Regex Search is deliberately lightweight: no accounts, no subscriptions, and no workflow to learn. It searches the page in your browser and does not need a server to perform a search. Privacy Regex Search works on the active tab only after you open it. Search patterns and page text are processed locally in the browser. The extension does not require an account.
