The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Reddit Multi-Column
Lightweight extension that gives a multi-column layout to Reddit (aka Pinterest layout). In the options menu, you can configure the number of columns and the width of each column, and the right sidebar can be auto-hidden for more space.
It's not perfect, since Reddit is not designed to work this way, but it should work well enough.
