About Reddit Lens - AI Fact Checker

Reddit AI Fact Checker helps you investigate claims without leaving Reddit. Use the Fact Check button on supported image posts and image plus text posts, open the compact controls on an image, or highlight text and choose Fact Check from Chrome's right click menu. It reads the visible post or selected claim, uses AI with current web search to find relevant evidence, and shows the result in a focused panel. Each verdict includes a concise explanation and clickable source links so you can inspect the evidence before you trust or share a claim. Key features • Fact Check action on supported image posts and image plus text posts • No Fact Check action on video posts or text only posts • Selected text checking from Chrome's right click menu on Reddit • Multiple selected text submissions can process together and remain visible as separate verdict cards • Full visible post context including the title, text, links, images, and surrounding details • Image controls for Fact Check, Ask a question, and dismiss • Current web evidence for supporting, contradicting, or adding context to claims • Clear verdict cards with explanations and clickable sources • Checks for screenshots, memes, news graphics, links, viral posts, and image captions • History for completed post checks and results • Trusted and blocked source preferences • Managed search and AI with no provider API keys required • Dark and light themes with flexible panel placement How it works For an image post 1. Open Reddit and find a supported image post. 2. Click Fact Check on the post or use the compact control on the image. 3. Review every returned verdict, explanation, and source link in the panel. 4. Use Ask a question when you want to investigate a specific detail in the image. For selected text 1. Highlight a factual statement on Reddit. 2. Right click the selection and choose Fact Check. 3. A checking card appears immediately while evidence is gathered. 4. If the result contains several claims, the panel keeps each returned verdict visible. Selected text checking does not record page audio or use speech transcription. The selected words enter the verification flow as one intact submission. This Reddit fact checker is useful for everyday browsing, research, media literacy, journalism, and education. It can help you examine suspicious screenshots, viral claims, missing context, questionable links, and statements that deserve a closer look. A Google account is required. Eligible new accounts receive a 7 day trial with up to 10 unique Reddit post checks per day. Checking the same post again does not use another daily slot. Pro unlocks unlimited post checks for this edition and shared preferences where supported. This edition does not transcribe or analyze video audio. Use selected text checking when you want to investigate a claim from a text only post. Independent product. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit. AI can make mistakes. Always inspect the linked sources and independently verify important claims.
