The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Redaxa – Redact PII & API Keys for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini
SUMMARY (max 132 characters):
Catch API keys, passwords and personal data before you send a prompt. Free checks run on your device.
DESCRIPTION:
Catch API keys, passwords and personal data before a prompt reaches ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. Free checks run on your device.
Check before you share
Redaxa helps you spot potential credentials, personal details and financial data in text before you send it to an AI tool. Review grouped findings and copy a redacted version.
Free, on your device
- Check text with the Check button in the popup, or let Redaxa check automatically before you send (Enter or the Send button). The automatic check is on by default and you can turn it off in the popup.
- Free checks run in your browser. The text you check does not leave your device.
- No account needed, and the extension sets no limit on free checks.
- Works on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity (beta).
With a Pro or Business plan
- Add protected terms such as client names and project codenames. Business also adds shared protected terms and workspace policies for teams.
- Checks with a plan are computed on Redaxa's server: the text is sent over an encrypted connection, analyzed and discarded. It is not stored and not forwarded to an AI provider. Redaxa keeps an activity record with metadata only (time, AI site, finding categories and counts) that never includes your text.
- Repository checks: open a public GitHub repository in the Redaxa Windows app, which is installed separately. Scanning runs locally in the app. Private repositories are not supported.
Limits
Detection can miss sensitive information or flag harmless text. Service attribution is based on format and context, not verified ownership. Detected keys are never tested against their providers. Removing an exposed secret from a repository does not revoke it: use the issuing service's rotation process. Review every result before sharing.
