RecEase – Free Screen Recorder with Audio

RecEase turns Chrome into a free, local-first recording studio. Capture a browser tab, app window, entire screen, or camera with microphone and system/tab audio, then annotate, edit, organize, and export without creating an account or uploading your recording. RECORD WITH CONTROL • Capture a tab, window, screen, camera, or screen with a movable webcam overlay that starts at the top right. • Record microphone audio, system/tab audio, both together, or silent video. • Use Auto, 4K, 1080p, 720p, and 480p profiles up to 60 FPS when supported by your device. • Pause, resume, mute, push to talk, use keyboard shortcuts, and safely stop from the recorder side panel. • No RecEase time limit, watermark, sign-in, subscription, or paid feature gate. ANNOTATE WHILE YOU RECORD • Draw with pen and highlighter tools or add lines, arrows, shapes, and text. • Hide sensitive areas with rectangle or element blur, with Undo and Redo for a just-applied blur or drawing. • Emphasize actions with cursor spotlight and click effects. • Move, resize, mirror, and reshape the camera; use local background effects on supported devices. EDIT ON YOUR DEVICE • Trim, split, remove, reorder, crop, and change speed or volume without changing the original. • Add text, editable captions, a local soundtrack, reversible Live Rewind cuts, and click-based zooms. • Export MP4 or WebM, plus GIF for clips up to 30 seconds, when the format is supported by Chrome and your hardware. KEEP A REAL LOCAL LIBRARY • Search, tag, favourite, organize in folders, duplicate, restore from Trash, and reopen recordings at any time. • Recovery checkpoints protect long takes from an unexpected close. • Export and import integrity-checked .recease projects with their editable data. PRIVATE BY DESIGN When you start a recording, RecEase handles the pixels and audio in the source you choose and, when enabled, pointer/click events used for cursor effects and auto-zoom. This content stays in your Chrome profile unless you deliberately download or export it. RecEase does not inspect page text, form values, or keystrokes and has no recording upload service, account requirement, analytics account, advertising tracker, or remote executable code. RecEase requires Chrome 116 or later. Available resolution, frame rate, MP4 encoding, system audio, and camera effects depend on browser, source, operating system, and hardware capability; RecEase checks support before recording.
