RealTime Video Controls

RealTime adds free playback speed, skip and picture-in-picture controls directly over videos on websites. No ads, no tracking and no account required. Speed through the parts you already know, slow down to learn something new, and replay the details that matter. Use it for tutorials, recorded talks and reviewing your work. Hover over a video to reveal the toolbar. Move away and it disappears. PLAYBACK CONTROLS • Change playback speed from the toolbar or with the S and D keys. • Play and pause the video. • Skip forward or back, or drag the progress bar to another point. • Open picture-in-picture on supported players. • Download available video files that you own or have permission to save. SITE SETTINGS Set your preferred playback speed and skip interval. Use those settings across websites, customize individual sites, or turn RealTime off for a site. You can also remember the playback speed used on each site. COMPATIBILITY Works with compatible video players on YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok and other websites, including many embedded players. Some websites and protected videos restrict playback controls, picture-in-picture or downloads. Downloads are not available for every video. Very high playback speeds may use seeking and skip content or audio. FREE, WITH NO ADS OR TRACKING RealTime Video Controls is free to use. There is no account to create, no advertising and no usage analytics. The extension does not record your browsing history or send your viewing activity or videos to RealTime. Playback controls run in your browser. Preferences are saved in Chrome storage and may sync through your Chrome account. Requested downloads come directly from the video website or its media servers; audio and video streams are combined locally when needed. You can disable the extension for any site.
