About Quire PDF — Reader & Editor
Make room for your PDF work.
Quire PDF brings reading, annotation, form filling, and useful page tools together in a focused Chrome extension. Open a PDF, mark what matters, and save an edited copy on your computer.
Read closely
Find a phrase with text search. Browse page thumbnails or jump through a document's outline when one is available. Adjust your view and settle into the page.
Mark it up
Highlight important passages, add comments and text notes, and draw on the page. Insert an image or place a typed or drawn visual signature. Fill existing standard PDF form fields.
Make room for the right pages
Reorder or remove pages, bring pages from another PDF into your document, or export only the pages you select.
Keep your work
Download an edited PDF with your changes. Keep documents in a local library and recover unfinished work on this computer. Download important work: browser storage is not a backup.
Work locally
Your documents are processed on your computer. Quire does not upload PDFs to a document-processing service, and it includes no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Library documents, recovery copies, preferences, and reusable signatures stay in your browser profile. The first release is free to use.
Opening a PDF link asks for access to that website. If a site requires sign-in or redirects, download the PDF normally and open the local file in Quire.
What kind of editor is this?
Quire is an annotation and form editor with page tools. It adds highlights, text, drawings, and images, and fills existing form fields. It does not replace original page text or provide OCR, secure redaction, or certificate-based digital signing. A signature is a visual mark. XFA forms and PDF scripts are not supported.
