The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About QuickNote - Local Web Notes
QuickNote is a lightweight, fully local browser note-taking extension. While browsing a webpage, press Alt + Q once to open QuickNote and press it again to close it—no need to repeatedly look for the toolbar icon.
When you save a note, QuickNote automatically records the current webpage title, full URL, and timestamp, making it easy to return to the original source later.
Notes are stored locally in Chrome extension storage by default. You can also select a QuickNote-backup.json file on your computer to enable a second local backup layer. Once enabled, the backup file is automatically updated whenever a note is added, edited, or deleted.
All data is processed only on your device. No registration or sign-in is required. QuickNote does not provide cloud synchronization and does not upload note content, webpage links, or browsing data.
Key features:
Press Alt + Q to instantly open or close QuickNote.
Capture multi-line notes from webpages or Chrome New Tab pages.
Automatically record the current webpage title, full URL, and timestamp.
Store notes locally in Chrome.
Optionally save a second backup copy to a local JSON file selected by the user.

Restore and merge notes from a previously selected backup file.
Click an existing note to edit it again, or delete notes you no longer need.

How to use:
Press Alt + Q on any webpage to open QuickNote. Press it again to close it.
Enter your note and select “Save Note.” The webpage title and URL will be saved with it.
Select an existing note to edit it, or use the delete button to remove it.
To enable the second local backup layer, open backup management and select a local QuickNote-backup.json file.
Once local backup is enabled, future note changes will automatically update that file.
To restore notes, open backup management and select the backup file again.
You can customize the shortcut in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings.
Privacy:
QuickNote does not provide accounts, cloud synchronization, advertising, or analytics. Note content, webpage titles, and webpage URLs remain on the user’s device. Local backups are written only to a file explicitly selected and authorized by the user.
