AI-POWERED CATEGORIZATION • Uses Claude AI (Anthropic) with web search to research each merchant • Identifies merchant name, business type, and suggests the most appropriate category • Shows confidence level (high/medium/low) for each suggestion • Provides reasoning for why each category was chosen SMART VENDOR MANAGEMENT • Automatically matches merchants to existing vendors in your QuickBooks • Creates new vendors with full details (address, phone, website, email) when needed • Fuzzy matching prevents duplicate vendors (e.g., "A1 Rental" matches "A1 Rental Backhoe") • Vendor toggle (V key) lets you skip vendor changes when not needed • Side-by-side comparison shows current vs. suggested vendor TWO PROCESSING MODES • One-at-a-Time Mode: Review each transaction individually with full control • Batch Mode: Process multiple transactions at once, review all suggestions, then apply KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS • Enter: Accept suggestion • Tab: Skip transaction • V: Toggle vendor on/off • J: Jump to transaction for manual editing • Esc: Pause/stop processing RESUME BATCH PROCESSING • Pause anytime and come back later • Green "Continue Batch" button remembers your progress • Pick up exactly where you left off PRIVACY & SECURITY • Your API key is stored locally in your browser • Transactions are only sent to Anthropic's API for categorization • No data is stored on external servers HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension and enter your Anthropic API key 2. Navigate to the Banking page in QuickBooks Online 3. Click the green "Smart Categorize" button on any transaction 4. Review the AI suggestion and accept, skip, or modify 5.
