The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Quick Bookmarks Spotlight

Press a shortcut (⌘ + shift + K or ctrl + shift + K), type, hit Enter — open any bookmark instantly. This extension brings a search overlay to your bookmarks, so you can open any saved page without digging through folders or cluttered bookmark bars. Why you'll love it: ⚡ Blazing fast — results appear as you type with smart highlights ⌨️ 100% keyboard-driven — navigate with arrow keys, press Enter to open in a new tab, or ⌘+Enter to open in the current one. Esc to close. 🌙 Beautiful, minimal design — a clean dark overlay that stays out of your way until you need it 🔒 Private by design — everything runs locally in your browser. Your bookmarks never leave your machine. Works everywhere — with a popup fallback on restricted pages (chrome://, the Web Store, file:// URLs). You can change the keyboard shortcut anytime at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. The more you save, the more useful it gets. Stop clicking through folders. Start finding. # Changelog ## [1.3.0] — 2026-09-14 - Rank bookmark matches that begin at the start of a word above mid-word matches - Upgrade to the SolidJS 2.0 RC.8 ## [1.2.1] — 2026-07-23 - Swap open shortcuts to match browser convention: Enter / click opens in the current tab, ⌘/Ctrl + Enter (or click) opens in a new tab ## [1.2.0] — 2026-07-20 - Simplify usage tracking: only each bookmark's last open time is stored (decay-based frecency scoring removed; old data is migrated) - Search ties are now broken by recency — more recently opened bookmarks rank higher - Remove the Recent/Frequent start view; the popup shows only the search prompt until you type - Remove the "remove from recent" action (⌘⌫ / row button) and its footer hint ## [1.1.1] — 2026-07-16 - Fix: typing went to Chrome's URL bar when the shortcut was pressed while the omnibox was focused — the overlay now opens as a focused popup window in that case ## [1.1.0] — 2026-06-26 - Remove recent bookmarks hotkey and icon - Warn a user if the extension shortcut is not assigned - Fix: open tab inside system tabs (like New Tab) ## [1.0.1] — 2026-06-25 - Increase ranking score for case-sensitive matches - Fix: newly added bookmarks weren't searchable ## [1.0.0] — 2026-06-10 - Initial release: Spotlight-style bookmark search overlay rendered inside the page
