Privatar — Midnight Wallet

Privatar is a self-custodial browser wallet for the Midnight Preview and Preprod test networks. Create a new wallet or restore a valid 12 or 24-word recovery phrase. Your browser vault is encrypted with your password. Privatar does not receive your recovery phrase or private keys. View test NIGHT and DUST balances and transaction activity. Receive tokens using your wallet address or QR code. Expand the synchronization display to see Shielded, Unshielded and DUST progress. Review supported transfers and network fees before approving them with your password. Proofs run locally using public proving material packaged with the extension. Connect supported websites with explicit permissions. Review authentication signatures, proofs and supported transaction requests separately. Revoke a connection under Sites. Connecting a website alone does not authorize a transaction. Connected-site transaction requests are supported on Preview; Mainnet is disabled in this Chrome extension. The toolbar panel displays your wallet directly. Its private runtime continues synchronization when the panel closes. Explicit lock, five minutes of inactivity, browser shutdown or runtime loss clears unlocked wallet material. Settings includes network selection, recovery phrase access and local wallet deletion. About shows the installed version; Update wallet checks Chrome's update service. Version 0.1.4 uses configured Blockfrost access for Midnight Preprod and public Midnight endpoints for Preview. Existing Preprod wallets may need a fresh synchronization after the provider migration. Keep your recovery phrase safely offline. This is a testnet preview and has not undergone an independent custody security audit. Browser password encryption does not provide hardware-backed custody.
