About Print Frame for Google Chrome™

Print Frame for Google Chrome™ — Print Only the Frame You Actually Need Have you ever tried to print a web page and ended up with a navigation bar, a header, a sidebar, and a footer wrapped around the one small section you wanted? Many older websites, intranet portals, banking dashboards, library catalogs, e-learning platforms, and enterprise tools are still built with framesets and iframes. When you press Ctrl+P on one of those pages, Chrome prints the whole outer document, and the frame that holds your invoice, report, timetable, or article gets squeezed into a tiny box, cut off, or left out entirely. Print Frame for Google Chrome™ solves this problem with a single right-click. It lets you print solely the chosen frame within a frameset or iframe-based HTML page, exactly as it appears on screen, without any of the surrounding clutter. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open any page that contains a frame, iframe, or frameset. 2. Right-click anywhere inside the frame you want to print. 3. Choose "Print Frame…" from the context menu. 4. Chrome's standard print dialog opens for that frame only. Pick your printer, choose "Save as PDF", adjust margins and scaling, and print. That is the whole workflow. There is nothing to configure, no account to create, and no learning curve. The extension uses Chrome's own print engine, so every option you already know — page size, orientation, headers and footers, background graphics, color or black-and-white — is available, and the output is identical to what Chrome would produce for a normal page. KNOW BEFORE YOU CLICK The toolbar icon tells you at a glance whether the current tab contains any frames. When a page has at least one iframe or frameset, the icon switches to its active state, so you know the Print Frame command will be useful. On pages without frames the icon stays neutral. Click the icon to open a small popup that confirms the status in plain language: "Frames Present on This Page" or "No Frames on Current Page." This saves you from hunting through a context menu on a page that has nothing to offer. WHO IS IT FOR? • Office workers and administrators who use legacy web applications, ERP systems, CRM portals, and HR tools that display content inside frames. • Students and teachers on e-learning platforms where lecture notes, quizzes, and reading material are embedded in iframes. • Accountants, bookkeepers, and finance staff who need clean printouts of statements, invoices, and reports from online banking or accounting systems. • Researchers and librarians working with digital archives and catalog systems that still rely on frameset layouts. • Developers and QA testers who need to print or save the contents of a single embedded document for review or documentation. • Anyone who wants to save a specific embedded article, map, schedule, or form as a PDF without the surrounding page. WHY CHOOSE PRINT FRAME? Precise output. You get only the content of the frame you selected — nothing more. Headers, menus, advertisements, and sidebars that live in other frames are left out automatically. Zero setup. Install the extension and it is ready. No options page to fill in, no settings to tweak, no sign-in. Works offline. The extension is fully self-contained and does not depend on any external server. It works on local files, on your company intranet, and on pages that are only reachable inside a VPN. Lightweight and fast. The extension is tiny and runs only when you use it. It does not slow down browsing, inject anything into pages while you read, or run in the background consuming memory. Native print dialog. Because Print Frame calls Chrome's own print function, you can send the frame to any printer, save it as a PDF, or use any cloud print service that Chrome supports. Available in more than 40 languages. The interface is localized for users around the world, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and many more. PRIVACY Print Frame respects your privacy. It does not collect, store, or transmit any browsing data, page content, or personal information. It requires access to web pages only so that it can detect frames and trigger printing on the frame you select. No analytics, no tracking, no hidden network requests. A NOTE ON PERMISSIONS To detect frames and update the toolbar icon on every page, the extension needs permission to read the structure of the pages you visit. It uses that access exclusively to count iframe and frameset elements and to run the print command when you ask for it. Nothing about the page is read, saved, or sent anywhere. GET STARTED Install Print Frame for Google Chrome™, open a page with frames, right-click inside the frame you want, and choose "Print Frame…". It is that simple. If you find the extension useful, please leave a rating and a review — your feedback helps us keep improving. For a step-by-step tutorial and tips, visit the help page linked from the extension popup. Print exactly what you need. Nothing more, nothing less.
