PriceRoute is a shopping assistant that follows your research across websites and helps you find a better way to buy. Looking at a hotel on Booking.com? PriceRoute can help you check the hotel's direct site or other places selling the same stay. Looking at clothes, electronics or furniture? PriceRoute identifies the product you're viewing and helps you search for the same item or a similar cheaper alternative. FIND BETTER OPTIONS When PriceRoute recognizes something you're considering buying, open the side panel to see available comparisons. Depending on the item, PriceRoute can help identify: • the same product elsewhere • a direct seller or hotel website • the same property on another booking platform • similar lower-priced products • prices you've previously seen Similar items are always labeled separately from exact matches. JOURNEY MEMORY Shopping rarely happens on one page. You might start by asking ChatGPT for hotel recommendations, move to Google, compare three properties on Booking.com, visit a hotel's own website and come back a day later. Journey Memory keeps that research together. You can see the pages and recommendations that led to a purchase decision, revisit products and compare prices you've previously encountered. Journey Memory can be paused at any time. CHATGPT AND GEMINI If Journey Memory is enabled, PriceRoute can process and retain content from ChatGPT and Gemini conversations to connect shopping recommendations to the sites you visit afterward. This can include: • your messages • AI responses • links and citations • visible search or grounding information • products, hotels, destinations and brands discussed This lets PriceRoute show journeys such as: ChatGPT recommendation → Booking.com → hotel website PriceRoute does not attempt to access hidden AI reasoning or private model internals. YOUR BROWSING DATA Journey Memory requires PriceRoute to process and retain information about pages you visit while the feature is enabled. Depending on the page, this can include: • URL and domain • page title • visit time • product or property information • displayed prices • links between pages • shopping and checkout stage • commercial information from supported AI conversations This information is used to provide PriceRoute's Journey Memory, comparison and product-matching features and to improve those features. PriceRoute does not collect passwords, authentication tokens, credit-card numbers, CVVs or values entered into payment fields. Obvious personal information is redacted where possible before conversation information is transmitted. YOU'RE IN CONTROL From PriceRoute you can: • pause Journey Memory • resume Journey Memory • inspect your recent journeys • delete individual journeys • delete all PriceRoute data associated with your installation Collection does not begin until Journey Memory is enabled during onboarding. PERMISSIONS • webNavigation: used to connect the pages in your shopping research into Journey Memory. • storage: used to maintain PriceRoute settings, consent state and a temporary event queue. • Site access: PriceRoute needs access to supported webpages to identify products, hotels, prices and commercial information required for comparisons and Journey Memory. • sidePanel: used to display PriceRoute's comparison and Journey Memory interface alongside the page you're viewing. DATA USE PriceRoute uses collected information to provide and improve: • Journey Memory • product recognition • price comparison • direct-purchase discovery • similar-product discovery PriceRoute does not use browsing or conversation data for behavioral advertising or sell individual browsing histories to data brokers.
