The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Prelook

## Prelook — Hover to Preview Links Preview any link by hovering over it — no click, no new tab, no losing your place. Why you'll love it: - Save clicks — see what's behind a link before committing to it. No more back-button frustration. - Instant load — Prefetch/Prerender downloads hovered links in the background so previews appear instantly. - Safer browsing — local-only checks flag risky links in the preview header: hidden domains, look-alike characters, brand impersonation, mismatched anchor text, IP hosts, and short links. Also strips`utm_*` tracking params. - Search anything — select text on any page and instantly run a web or AI search. - Yours to control — choose the trigger (hover, Alt+hover, long-press, drag), window position, size, theme, accent color, blur, and disabled sites. Pin previews or open multiple at once. - Free & private — no account, no server. Your links and selections never leave your browser. Works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Zen, and Doubao.
