Popup Terminator blocks the popups, popunders and overlays that interrupt your browsing, and it does so before they open. It is built on the current Manifest V3 extension platform, so it will keep working as older extension technology is retired. How it works Every page runs a small guard that intercepts attempts to open a new window. Unwanted windows are stopped and a quiet notification tells you what was blocked. If you actually wanted that window, one click opens it. A counter on the toolbar icon shows how many popups were stopped on the current tab. Designed not to break websites Sign-in dialogs, payment checkouts and work tools rely on legitimate popup windows. Popup Terminator recognises these patterns and lets them through automatically, and more than a thousand widely used websites are pre-approved. If a site still misbehaves, the "Site broken? Fix it" button adds it to your allow list and reloads the page in one step. Strict mode Some video and link-shortener sites hide popups behind redirects on their own domain. Turn on strict mode for that site and those are blocked as well.
