Pomodoro Cassette

Pomodoro Cassette A retro-vintage Pomodoro timer with four cassette/CRT/typewriter skins, ambient soundscapes, todos, and a markdown scratchpad. **Pomodoro Cassette** turns your new tab into a beautiful skeuomorphic focus tool inspired by the cassette decks, typewriters, and CRT TVs of decades past. Built for people who want their productivity tools to feel like physical objects, not flat dashboards. What's inside v3.0.1 — Hover-to-reveal edit and delete buttons on todo items, restore button for dismissed keyboard shortcuts strip, footer credit with developer attribution, minor polish. ⏱ Pomodoro timer with four collectible skins** Switch between Classic Cassette, Modern (Teenage Engineering inspired), Typewriter, and CRT TV — each one a complete reskin with its own typography, materials, and details. Pick the one that matches your mood or your desk. 🎵 Five ambient soundscapes** Built-in synthesized ambient, lo-fi, white noise, and rain — generated live in the browser, no streaming. Music auto-pauses when you pause the timer and resumes when you start again, so the audio always matches what you're doing. 🔔 A bell you won't miss** A double-ring ascending chime plays at full volume when a session completes, paired with a persistent system notification that stays on screen until you dismiss it. No more sessions ending while you're heads-down in another tab. ✅ One-task-at-a-time todos** A four-bucket task system (Now, Not Now, On Hold, Done) built around the philosophy of single-focus work. Drag tasks between buckets, promote them with a click, and watch your current focus auto-sync to the cassette display. 📝 Markdown scratchpad on a sticky note** Jot quick notes on a yellow legal pad with handwritten font, ruled lines, and a strip of tape across the top. Write in markdown, hit Preview to see it rendered. Supports headings, bold, italic, lists, checkboxes, blockquotes, links, and code. ⌨️ Full keyboard support Space to play/pause, R to reset, S to skip, L to toggle sound. Every interactive element is reachable via Tab and operable via Enter/Space. ♿ Designed inclusively Every text element passes WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1 minimum). All buttons have descriptive aria-labels. Skip-to-content link, focus-visible outlines, ARIA roles throughout, and respect for reduced motion. What's new in v3.0 - New skin picker pill bar at the top with show/hide controls - Two new skins: Typewriter and CRT TV (joining Classic and Modern) - Four-bucket todo system replacing the flat list - Markdown scratchpad with toggleable preview - Soundscape now pauses with the timer - Stronger phase-complete alert (double-ring bell, persistent notification) - Full WCAG AA accessibility audit and contrast pass - Keyboard shortcuts strip with dismiss option Privacy Pomodoro Cassette runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, track, transmit, or sell any data. Your tasks, notes, timer settings, and skin preferences are stored locally using Chrome's storage API and never leave your device. There are no analytics, no third-party scripts, no network requests of any kind beyond loading Google Fonts for the typography.
