About Playlist Exporter for YouTube: CSV and Excel
Save a YouTube playlist as a spreadsheet: every title, link, channel and duration, in the order they appear on the page. Open the playlist, click the toolbar icon and pick CSV. It works on your own playlists, other people's public ones, Liked videos and the list in the side panel of a watch page. It saves the list, not the videos themselves.
The extension reads the page in your own tab and asks the site for the rest of the list the same way the page does when you scroll, 100 rows at a time. There is no API key to set up and no extra sign-in. Private, deleted and unavailable videos are marked in the file instead of being dropped without a word.
Without Pro, it saves the first 200 rows as a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets with accents and emoji intact, or copies the links to your clipboard. Columns: position, title, link, channel and duration.
Pro is a one-time payment of $9, no subscription. It adds:
- every row, however long the list is
- Excel (.xlsx), JSON and Markdown files
- views, publish date, video ID, channel link, length in seconds and thumbnail columns
- Watch Later
- all your playlists, or a channel's, in one ZIP
- a "change" column that shows what was added, changed or removed since your last export
The purchase is handled by ExtensionPay. "Get Pro" opens ExtensionPay's checkout in a new tab, where Stripe takes the payment, and Pro switches on a few seconds after it goes through. On a new computer or after a reinstall, "I already paid" on the options page restores it with the email address you paid with.
It does not export watch history (Google Takeout is the way to get that), and it does not work on YouTube Music or the mobile site. If the site changes its layout and the rows can no longer be found, the popup tells you so and links here for an update, rather than handing you a half-empty file.
Your data stays on your computer. The extension has no server and no analytics. The only other site it contacts is extensionpay.com, and only after you start a purchase or restore one.
