Plastic Detox Product Check

Plastic Detox checks the brand you are looking at while you shop on Amazon, and tells you what we found. Search results get a small verdict on each listing. Product pages get the full reasoning. You never leave the page you are on. WHAT WE CHECK Every brand is researched on the same four fronts: Formula What the product is actually made of. Fibres, coatings, ingredients, the difference between totally chlorine free and elemental chlorine free. Packaging materials What it ships and sits in. Liners, lids, bottles, wrappers, the plastic in a water path. Lawsuits and recalls CPSC recalls, filed class actions, regulatory action, and what the outcome actually was rather than what a headline claimed. Independent tests Published lab results and third party certifications. PFAS and organic fluorine screens, heavy metals, EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, GOTS, NSF. WHAT YOU SEE Skip, Careful or Good choice on every search result, so you can scan a page of twenty products without opening any of them. On a product page, the specific finding behind the verdict, with the body that published it and the year. Not a score out of ten. Where a brand is one you should skip, the card names a researched alternative and links to the full guide, so you leave with something to buy rather than just something to avoid. Verdicts are per product where a range genuinely splits. A brand can be a caution overall while one of its lines is a pick, and the card says which. NO AFFILIATE LINKS This extension contains no affiliate links. It never adds, alters or redirects any link on Amazon, and it cannot change where your purchase is credited. We earn nothing when you buy something through it. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT The brand database is downloaded to your browser and every lookup happens on your device. We do not receive your searches, the products you view, the pages you visit, or anything you buy. One optional setting, off unless you switch it on, sends us the name of a brand we have not reviewed yet so we know what to research next. Brand name only. No web address, no product, no identifier. HOW THE RESEARCH WORKS Every verdict is written by a person and carries its sources. Where we have not yet researched one of the four fronts for a brand, the card says so rather than implying a clean bill of health we have not earned. Found something wrong? Every card has a Report an error link that reaches us directly. Corrections are read by a person.
