Record your screen as often as you like. Plainrec is a screen recorder with no video limit, no watermark and no account. Your recordings stay on your computer. RECORD - Record a tab, a window or your entire screen - Add your microphone and your computer's sound - Show your face in a floating camera bubble - Pause and resume, with an optional 3-second countdown - Save as MP4 in 720p, 1080p or 1440p - See which sound is being captured while you record EDIT - Trim the start and end without recording again. The original is kept. - Trimming happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. CAPTIONS AND SUMMARY (OPTIONAL) - Get captions, clickable chapters and a short summary from Google Gemini - Download captions as .srt and the transcript as .txt - Uses your own free Gemini API key. Only the audio of that recording is sent, directly to Google. NEVER LOSE A TAKE - Your video is written to disk while you record - If the tab crashes, the recording is recovered next time - All recordings wait in "Your recordings" until you download or delete them PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No sign-up, no cloud, no analytics, no ads - Recordings are kept in Chrome's storage on your computer - Open Plainrec from the toolbar or press Alt+Shift+R Tip: Chrome can't capture sound from a single window.
