The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About PixSnip
PixSnip captures exactly the part of a web page you mean, as one pixel-accurate PNG.
THREE MODES
• Region: drag a rectangle, watch the live size label, nudge it with the arrow keys (Shift for 10 px) and press Enter.
• Element: hover to highlight any element (a form, a table, a card, a paragraph) and click. Arrow Up selects the parent, Arrow Down goes back. Tall elements are stitched automatically and cropped exactly to their box, with optional padding.
• Full page: scrolls the whole document and stitches it into one image. Fixed headers appear once, sticky bars don't repeat, scrollbars are hidden, animations are paused, lazy images get time to load.
THREE WAYS OUT
• Preview tab at 1:1 on a checkerboard with device and CSS dimensions.
• Download with a filename pattern using {host}, {title}, {date}, {time} and {mode}.
• Copy straight to the clipboard for Slack, Figma or Jira.
BUILT FOR PRECISION
• Captures at your display's real resolution: 2x screens give 2x PNGs, and 125% or 150% zoom never loses an edge column.
• Works with app layouts that scroll a container instead of the window (Gmail, Slack, dashboards).
• Your page is always restored after a capture, even if something fails.
100% PRIVATE
No network requests, no account, no analytics. Only the permissions a screenshot needs: activeTab, scripting, downloads, storage and offscreen. No host permissions. Nothing ever leaves your device.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Alt+Shift+R region, Alt+Shift+E element, Alt+Shift+F full page. Rebind them at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Parallax and scroll-linked effects can differ between tiles. Elements wider than the viewport are clipped horizontally. Elements inside a scrollable container are captured as far as visible. Virtualised lists may show duplicated or missing rows. Chrome does not allow capturing chrome:// pages, the Web Store or its built-in PDF viewer.
Requires Chrome 116 or newer.
