PixelatedFix – Video Quality Checker

PixelatedFix Video Quality Checker helps you understand why a video may look blurry or pixelated in Chrome. Click the extension while a video is open to check the current decoded resolution, the size at which the webpage displays it, likely aspect-ratio stretching, and dropped frames. The check runs locally on the current tab. The extension does not download videos, upload video content, or collect your browsing history. Use it to: • Check the current playback resolution of a visible HTML5 video • See whether a webpage is enlarging a lower-resolution video • Detect likely aspect-ratio stretching • Review dropped-frame information provided by Chrome • Get a YouTube-specific Settings → Quality suggestion when appropriate If you own the original low-quality file, PixelatedFix can help you open its video upscaler for 1080p, 2K, or 4K options on pixelatedfix.com. The extension never downloads or sends the third-party webpage video to PixelatedFix. Permissions: • activeTab — checks the current tab only after the user clicks the extension • scripting — runs the packaged one-time local video check PixelatedFix is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
