Photo Sweep for Google Photos™

Clean out a large Google Photos library without selecting photos one at a time. Photo Sweep bulk-moves items to Trash using the Google Photos web interface. Open photos.google.com, click the Photo Sweep icon, confirm you have a backup or no longer want the photos, choose a limit, and start. Built to be cautious Count-only mode shows how many photos are there without deleting anything You must confirm you have a backup before the start button unlocks The default run stops after 50 photos Stop any run from the popup at any time Photos go to Google Photos Trash, where Google generally keeps them recoverable for about 60 days Freeing up storage Items in Trash still count against your Google storage until Trash is emptied. Photo Sweep links you there when a run finishes. Privacy Photo Sweep runs locally in your browser. It reads the Google Photos page only to find photo tiles, select them, click the Move to Trash flow, and show progress. It does not upload your photos, photo metadata, browsing activity, or usage data to the developer or any third party. It never asks for your password. Before you start If your phone backs up to Google Photos, turn backup off on the phone first, or deletions may sync back to it.
