The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About PeekDrive: Search inside your Google Drive™ files
Search inside your Google Drive™ files, like Ctrl+F for your whole Drive. PeekDrive finds the exact passage inside your files, shows it to you in context, and opens the file right at that spot.
Google Drive tells you which file contains your search. PeekDrive shows you where inside the file, and takes you there in one click. No more opening files one by one to search them again.
🔍 How it works
1. Click "Add to Chrome", then "Sign in with Google" (read-only access).
2. Open PeekDrive from the toolbar icon, from the PeekDrive button next to Google Drive's search bar, or with Cmd+Shift+F (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+F (Windows) on Google Drive.
3. Type a word or phrase: each result shows your search highlighted in its context.
4. Click "Open" to land on that spot in the file.
📄 See the answer before you open the file
Each result shows the passage around your search, with the main match in solid purple and the other matches in dotted purple. Text documents keep their formatting, and spreadsheets appear as a mini-table with the tab, row and column of the match. When a file contains your search several times, "Show other results" lists every occurrence, each with its own "Open" button.
🎯 Open the file at the right spot
One click on "Open" takes you to the right paragraph, the right slide or the right cell. Your search is also copied to your clipboard, so you can keep searching inside the file.
📁 Works with your whole Drive
PeekDrive searches your documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDFs, whether they were made with Google or Microsoft Office, in My Drive and in shared drives. Each result shows its folder, so you always know which version you are looking at. You can filter results by file type, sort them by date or relevance, and choose between "Contains" and "Exact match" search.
⚡ Right inside Google Drive
Start typing in Google Drive's own search bar: a "Search for "…" inside your Drive files" row appears. One click and PeekDrive searches the content of your files.
