PayLync is a FreshBooks payment extension that helps merchants send invoice by email and collect payments. The extension is focused only on PayLync invoice/payment-request workflows, including payment actions, payment links, duplicate-notification prevention, and payment-status support. To provide this functionality, the PayLync Chrome extension may access limited information from supported FreshBooks invoice pages, including the invoice number, customer email address, and invoice/payment status where needed. This information is used only to display PayLync payment actions, create and send invoice/payment requests at the merchant’s request, prevent duplicate notifications, process payment-related activity, and support the merchant’s PayLync and FreshBooks invoice workflow. PayLync does not collect unrelated browsing history, does not monitor unrelated websites, and does not use extension data for advertising, behavioral tracking, creditworthiness, or lending purposes. PayLync may temporarily store limited extension data in the browser’s local storage, including invoice numbers, customer email addresses used for pending confirmation messages, notification-state flags, authentication/session data, FreshBooks connection status, and extension settings. PayLync does not sell user data. Data may be shared only as needed with PayLync systems, FreshBooks, email delivery providers, payment processors/gateways when a payment workflow is initiated, and service providers used for hosting, security, support, and compliance. How We Store Your Data PayLync may temporarily store limited extension data in your browser’s local storage, including invoice numbers, customer email addresses used for pending confirmation messages, notification-state flags, and extension settings. This local storage is used only to support normal extension functionality, such as keeping the merchant signed in, avoiding duplicate notifications, and showing confirmation messages after the merchant sends an invoice or navigates between supported FreshBooks pages. Customer email addresses stored for pending confirmation messages are removed from local storage as soon as the confirmation message is displayed or when the user signs out, where applicable. PayLync does not use locally stored extension data for advertising, behavioral tracking, creditworthiness, or lending purposes. How We Share Your Data PayLync does not sell user data. PayLync may share limited invoice, customer, and payment-related information only as needed to provide the extension’s payment functionality. This may include sharing data with PayLync systems, FreshBooks, email delivery providers, payment processors/gateways, and service providers used for hosting, security, support, and compliance.
