PauseTab

Find yourself on YouTube again? Mindlessly scrolling X? PauseTab is the extension that breaks the loop. The moment you try to open a distracting site, a gentle overlay appears: "Take a breath before you browse." A short timer creates a gap between impulse and action, asking you: Do I really need this right now? Then, the choice is yours — Open, Not now, or Open for X minutes. ――――――――――――――――――― ■ Features ・ Mindful Overlay: A brief pause screen before opening target sites. ・ Daily Limits: Set usage caps per site (e.g., 30 min/day). ・ Session Timers: "Open for X minutes" functionality. ・ Smart Scheduling: Auto-switch presets based on the time of day. ・ Insights & Stats: Track how many times you held back and view your 7-day access history. ・ Quick Overrides: Pause interventions temporarily (15 min / 1 hour / rest of day). ・ Off Mode: Instantly disable all interventions for breaks or deep work. ・ Custom Redirects: Reroute target sites to a productive alternative. ・ Export/Import Settings: Easily share or migrate your setup via code. ――――――――――――――――――― ■ Privacy First ・ 100% Local: Settings and usage stats stay on your device. Nothing goes to the cloud. ・ Zero Tracking: No analytics, no tracking, and no ads. Ever. ・ No Developer Access: We physically cannot access your data. ・ Private Favicons: Fetched securely via DuckDuckGo to prevent tracking. ――――――――――――――――――― ■ Who is this for? ・ Those who unconsciously slip back into social media or video feeds. ・ Those who find aggressive website blockers too punishing to stick with. ・ Those who want to understand their browsing patterns and gently shift habits. ・ Those who refuse to compromise on data privacy. ――――――――――――――――――― ■ Our Philosophy PauseTab doesn't aggressively tell you "No." It simply creates a quiet space before your intent. To stop or to continue — the choice remains entirely yours. By accumulating these small "choose again" moments, your habits will naturally begin to shift. This is a quiet tool designed for exactly that. ――――――――――――――――――― Privacy Policy: https://pausetab.infoenv-studio.com/privacy-en Terms of Use: https://pausetab.infoenv-studio.com/terms-en
