Pause

Every time you open TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, Pause stops you for 5 seconds and asks one question: is this really what you want to do right now? No hard blocks. No shame. Just friction — right at the moment of autopilot. How it works • Opens a pause screen before the feed loads • Ask yourself why you're here (bored, stressed, procrastinating, taking a break) • Wait 5 seconds, then choose: go back or let yourself in • Either way, it's now a conscious choice What it tracks • Visits — times you proceeded anyway • Resists — times you chose to go back • Streak — consecutive days you stayed mindful What it doesn't do • No account required • No data leaves your device — everything is stored locally • No hard blocks or judgment • After 10 minutes, it won't interrupt again on the same site Built for people who want to quit the scroll habit gradually — not cold turkey.
